Best Mattress Brands India: How I Found My Ideal Mattress

When I was on my journey to discover the best mattress brands India, I had to go through a lot of confusion because I was overwhelmed by the plenty of choices. Fast forward to today when I pretty-much know about how to shortlist the best mattress brands, I thought why not help you guys find the same.

Finding your ideal mattress can be really challenging. After all, each brand claims to be the best one and offers competitive pricing, specifications, etc. Furthermore, the best mattress brands India depend upon mattress types too. A brand that specializes in making natural latex mattresses might not manufacture other mattresses at all or may not excel there too.

Mattress Buying Guide

My Journey for Finding the Best Mattress Brands: Mattress Buying Checklist

There was a point in my life when I was struggling to find the best mattress to treat my back pain. Wherever I went — either offline or online — every brand seemed promising. I read various mattress buying guides but they were only helpful to a point. Those guides could only help me seek within and decide which type of mattress I wanted to buy, but nobody seemed to help me find the right brand.

So, I decided to make my own checklist and rate the best mattress brands India accordingly. Luckily, the idea worked for me. I picked the top three Indian mattress brands based on my thorough comparison and went for one of the mattresses amongst those. And fast forward to today, I am so glad I went with this approach because my mattress is simply the best.

If you also want to know I picked the top three Indian mattress brands, here we go:

1. Eco-Friendliness

My first criterion was to rate every mattress brand for nature-friendliness and skip those who didn’t seem to focus on this factor a lot. I only considered brands that highly emphasized on eco-friendliness.

2. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certification

Since I had already decided that I wanted to only buy a natural latex mattress after reading endless mattress buying guides, I researched about the top certifications that ensured the latex mattress I was considering was 100% natural, hypoallergenic and safe. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 was one of those certifications which I kept as a priority on my checklist.

3. eco-INSTITUT Certification

Another certification I knew my mattress needed to have was the eco-INSTITUT certification as it could further cross-check I was purchasing the right mattress.

4. Hypoallergenic Properties

My checklist also kept hypoallergenic mattresses on priority because I didn’t want my mattress to be a breeding ground for bacteria, fungi, dust molds, mites, allergens, etc.

5. Breathability

Last but not least, I looked for a brand that manufactured mattresses with excellent air circulation so that I could sleep cool and sweat-free all night long.

Which Brands Met My Criteria?

While all the brands seemed to make the same high promises, surprisingly I could only find three of them to make real promises after doing thorough research, reading endless verified reviews on Amazon, and doing deep analysis of each mattress variant.

Here are the top three natural latex brands I recommend considering in 2021:

1. Morning Owl

Morning Owl was the first brand that not only passed these checklist pointers but also grabbed many brownie points. The brand highly focuses on manufacturing environment-friendly latex mattresses that are medium-firm, comfortable to sleep on, highly supportive, hypoallergenic, and most importantly, very breathable.

The brand also holds ISO and BRIT QUALIS certifications along with eco-INSTITUT and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification. All their mattresses are ergonomically designed to promote comfortable and disturbance-free sleep. What I further loved about the brand was its 15 years of warranty and 100 nights of a free trial.

2. Sleep Spa

Another Indian natural latex mattress brand that passed my test and impressed me was Sleep Spa. The brand focuses on proper spinal alignment and blood circulation while sleeping through its natural latex mattress. Their mattress is also hypoallergenic and highly breathable. Although the mattress is OEKO certified, I couldn’t find eco-INSTITUT certification with them. Another reason to place the mattress brand on rank two is its limited 11 years of warranty.

3. Sunday Rest

Last but not least, Sunday Rest qualified to be the third-best mattress brand for me. The brand manufactures latex plus mattresses for extremely heavy people and supports their spine perfectly. With its medium firmness, Sunday Rest ensures the sleeper gets a relaxing and comfortable sleep throughout the night.

The mattress also emphasizes on breathability and zero chemicals approach. This brand also owns the OEKO certification but unfortunately, I couldn’t find the eco-INSTITUT certification here too. Although it offers 100 nights of a free trial, its warranty is only limited to ten years.

Wrapping Up

I hope I helped you guys understand how you can make your own checklist if you want to buy a new mattress — be it natural latex, coir, spring, or memory foam. Also, these mattress brands rank top three according to my criteria but your experience and thoughts can be completely different than mine. I have been sleeping on the Morning Owl mattress for a long time now, and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
